Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) project files are especially complex recovery targets because a project typically consists of dozens of individual audio files (recorded takes, samples, bounced stems) plus a project file (.flp, .als, .logicx, .cpr, .ptx, .rpp) that stores the arrangement, effects, and automation. Losing either the project file or the audio files makes the project incomplete.

Does MP3 compression affect recovery?
MP3 uses lossy compression — audio data discarded during encoding can never be recovered. But deleted MP3 files themselves are highly recoverable because they're small and have clear frame sync headers (FF FB).
Can I recover FLAC files with original metadata?
Yes. FLAC stores metadata in Vorbis Comment blocks at the beginning of the file. If the file header is intact, artist, album, and track info are recovered.
