Hard Drive Recovery Software for Users in Spain

Updated by XAppSet Team

For users in Spain choosing hard drive recovery software, the key question is whether the drive is healthy enough for a software attempt. A stable disk after accidental deletion is different from a dropped disk or a device that repeatedly disappears.

Decide whether to scan or stop

Check for an existing backup first. If the drive is stable and correctly detected, note the affected partition and preserve it while you prepare another disk for recovered output. Avoid repair or formatting operations that write to the source before the files are recovered.

Unusual mechanical sounds, intermittent detection and worsening read behaviour are reasons to stop repeated DIY attempts. A paid licence does not repair physical damage. Where the data is irreplaceable, assess a professional service before spending time on repeated scans that may worsen the situation.

Evaluate XRecovery before exporting everything

XRecovery 3.1.6 runs on Windows and can scan partitions, disks and external devices that Windows recognises. The ordinary scan starts with a quick scan and then proceeds automatically to a deep scan. Preview is available for some mainstream file formats; it is not a complete compatibility test for every result.

The confirmed free recovery allowance is 2GB in total. Use it to check representative files before deciding whether more recovery is worthwhile. File names, thumbnails and scan counts alone are not proof of complete recovery.

Scan, save and verify

  1. Preserve the source and prepare a different physical device for recovered files. Check backups first, and avoid formatting or repair writes while the missing files are needed.
  2. Select the intended source by its capacity and identity. Stop if it becomes unstable; scanning software cannot fix physical damage.
  3. Review available results and previews. Save selected files to the separate destination, then open them with their usual applications and check the important contents.

XRecovery scanning is read-only, but exporting writes data to the destination. Its default warning against saving to the scanned partition can be overridden, so keep the destination separate yourself. No software can guarantee recovery of data that is no longer readable.

Can I repair the drive and then recover the files?

Repair can change the file system. When the files are the priority, preserve the source and decide on a recovery route first; deal with reusing or replacing the device afterwards.

Before choosing a download or licence
