❓ Questions You Might Have
What is XAppSet, and how is it different from other software companies?
XAppSet is a developer-led team committed to building accessible, user-centered tools. Unlike traditional software companies driven by profit margins, we focus on solving real problems with fair pricing and transparent technology.
Are your products free or open source?
Some of our tools offer free versions or trial modes. While our core products are not fully open source, our team actively contributes to open-source projects and plans to open selected modules in the future. We believe in collaborative development and shared innovation.
How can I join your testing program or community?
We welcome curious minds and passionate users! You can sign up for beta testing, share feedback, or join our developer community through our newsletter or GitHub channels (coming soon). We’re always looking for people who care about better software.
Is there a Mac version or mobile app in development?
A native macOS version of XRecovery is scheduled for release in 2026, with full support for APFS and HFS+ file systems.
As for mobile platforms, we currently do not plan to support Android or iOS. Mobile operating systems are increasingly restrictive—especially iOS, which enforces strict sandboxing and prohibits low-level access to storage. On Android, meaningful recovery often requires root access, which compromises device security and is not feasible for most users. Given these limitations and the direction of mobile OS development, our focus remains on desktop platforms where we can deliver full-featured, safe, and reliable recovery tools.
